It is important to find a permanent makeup artist that does a quality job and is using quality pigments. Some permanent makeup procedures only last 1-3 years. It’s more worth your time and money to get a quality job that lasts 8-10 years. Some pigments are better quality than others.
The pigment I use is organic and concentrated. My cost is $30-$40 a bottle and is free of iron oxides. Pigments with iron oxides can fade into unwanted colors such as pink, peach, or red. I have had to fix many women that have come in with red eyebrows and eyeliner. You don’t want that. Most technicians out there are using these pigments. Their cost is $8 a bottle. The pigment I use will last longer and fade a normal color.
I use a rotary pen instead of soft tap. With a rotary pen I can do fine detail work that will look natural, or if desired, done up. There is a misconception that rotary pen doesn’t look natural. This is not true and usually comes from technicians who do not know the proper techniques. I do very natural looking makeup. With this technique and high quality pigments your makeup will last 8-10 years.
When choosing a permanent cosmetic technician make sure you see photos of clients after they have healed. Some photos out there are taken immediately after the procedure. You want to see what the finished result looks like. You can come with your eyeliner or eyebrows drawn on and I can go over the top of it so it’s exactly how you want it. I am a perfectionist and do a thorough job. I make sure it looks perfect.
Unfortunately, I have had women come to me to get their permanent makeup fixed or redone after they have had another permanent makeup artist do their makeup. Their makeup either did not stay in or it was not perfect. Save time and money by going to someone that does a quality job that lasts a long time.
Some numbing creams out there do not work as well as others. I have tried many brands. I have found one that works really well. I numb my clients for 15 minutes before I start. Some of my clients do not feel anything the entire time. If you have a hard time numbing at the dentist, I recommend asking your doctor for something to help with pain or relaxation. Some doctors recommend 10 milligrams of Percoset or Lortab and 10 milligrams of Valium. I love having permanent makeup. I have my whole face done – my eyebrows, lips and eyeliner. I have had mine for 13 years and when it fades I will do it again. You will love it too! I would love to create a custom look for you that makes you feel beautiful!
